Here is a design that I admire in a purely artistic form. It is a wall piece that is purely for decoration, but I find to be a unique and interesting piece.  It is an image done by David Hockney where he has an image of a person sitting and looking into a camera.  Just that in itself doesn't sound interesting at all, but how he displays the piece is what makes it work.  He doesn't just take the picture of the person as a whole, he takes pictures of different parts of the person (some even overlapping areas) and then puts all the images together.  The piece itself comes out to be an abstract form of realistic images.  It is a concept that is unique to David Hockney and is his signature.  The fragmented imagery makes you really look through the entire image and appreciate all the details rather than if  he had taken one solid image of the person.
